Get to know us
Hello everybody! We are Elise and Shawn, the founders of WyldVentures.
Shawn is from Boston, Massachusetts. He worked as a professional chef before following his passion in the dive industry. Shawn has lived and worked in Cozumel, Sicily, the Philippines, Tiger Beach, and Florida as a dive guide, underwater photographer, and dive company owner.
Elise is from Guam, USA, where she found her love of the ocean at an early age. She holds a Masters Degree in Sustainable Tourism which she applies to WyldVentures' marine tourism trips. Elise has lived and worked in South Africa, Hawai'i, Thailand, Australia, and Florida as a dive guide, underwater photographer, and commercial captain.
We currently live in Playa del Carmen, Mexico with our two cats. We strive to immerse people on authentic, educational, and fun adventures that give back to local communities and support local conservation efforts.
We hope to meet you soon for an adventure!
We both wanted to combine our love of sustainable travel, dive adventures, and meeting like-minded people. Thus, WyldVentures was born.
